Yes; for this answer. Just be patient with it. It's not the old instamatics where you just point and click. There are lots of features that will help you take great pictures; and start out using the auto setting first. Then work it from there. Each time you change the wheel setting; click the menu to see what type of options are available for that particular wheel setting. My only complaint with this camera is I wish Nikon would have put a Hood over the lens. Other than that; for the price it's a great camera at under $300.00.
