• The B500 will use AA-rechargeable batteries, as well as alkaline and lithium type. It does not use a lithium-ion battery and there is no way to charge the batteries inside the camera.

• No, you can use 4 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries but they would need to be taken out of the camera.
