“I get a message on the screen , to turn off camera and turn it back on.. I do so and the message comes back. tried several times with no success. Cannot do anything with camera with this message on the camera. what am I to do?”

Hi Gary, I experienced the issue when I first setup the phone as well. Got me kind of nervous at first. I tried removing battery and media card. But what worked was putting the lens cover on the camera and turning the camera on & off and the message went away. It happen to my wife when she stated to use the camera. I told but the lens cover on and the message went away. Not sure why it pops up but it seems linked to the lens cover and lens. Hope this helps.

Take the cap off of the camera and turn the camera on. Make sure the Mode Dial is not in-between two different icons but is only directly next to the one you want to use.
