• No, the COOLPIX B500 uses 4 AA batteries which cannot be charged by the camera. LR6/L40 alkaline, FR6/L91 lithium, or EN-MH2 rechargeable Ni-MH batteries can be used in the B500. An MH-73 charger, available separately, is required to charge the EN-MH2 rechargeable Ni-MH batteries.
