The COOLPIX B500 has a Multiple Exp Lighten Scene Mode, in which the camera shoots multiple exposures at regular intervals, then composites only the bright areas of the shots and saves them as a single file. Multiple Exp Lighten Scene Mode is used for capturing nightscapes with light trails such as those created by the flow of car lights or the motion of stars. The B500 does not have a standard multiple exposure mode.
