“How do I turn off the flash on the 3400? I've tried the flash button on the side of the camera and the no flash setting. Still the flash goes off in marginal light.”

Hi Suzanne, simply hit the flash button by the lens and rotate the selection scroller until you see the "no flash" is indicated on your camera.
