The Nikon D5300 camera is completely compatible with AF-S and new E-type lenses and also has limited compatibility with AI and AF-type lenses. If your Nikon D60 was using any of these lenses they will all work with the Nikon D5300, however, AI and AF-type lenses will need to be manually focused as the Nikon D5300 does not have an built-in autofocus motor.
