The Nikon D5300 DSLR camera offers up many of the same features that the Nikon D5500 DSLR camera does with some differences. They both offer 5 frames per second for continuous shooting and Full HD for movies. They have the same number of effective pixels and the same sensor size. Some of the differences between the D5300 and D5500 concern the lighter weighted body, Eye Sensor Control, and the Vari-Angle LCD touch-screen monitor that the newer D5500 offers. One thing the D5300 does have, that is not offered on the D5500, is a built-in GPS system. However, an optional accessory is available that will allow you to use GPS on the D5500. If you would like to learn more about the differences between these cameras please contact Nikon Support for further assistance.
