The D7200 has a larger screen with more resolution. So it's better for use in Live View when recording movies and photos that way. In addition, the D7200 is a higher resolution camera which enables you more latitude to crop into your images. The camera has a better autofocus system with option of having 51 AF points for the camera to focus to the D7000's 39. The D7200 has built in WiFi that enables you to connect to Nikon's free Wireless Mobile Utility app to get your pictures up to social media sites AS WELL AS control the camera's shutter directly from the app for remote shooting. It is a very nice upgrade.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The D7000 had a 16.2MP sensor, and the D7200 has a 24.2MP. The D7000 had a EXPEED 2 and the D7200 has EXPEED 4 processor. (Faster processor) The D7000 had a Low Pass Filter the D7200 does not. (D7200 sharper images) The D7000 has 39 focus points and the D7200 has 51 (do I need to say?) The D7000 did not have high speed sync the D7200 does The list goes on. So yeah the D7200 is better in every way.
