• Everything you said will fit. I have 28/300 zoom. Have to remove lens for it to fit. But plenty of room

• Yes, it will. Works for my D500. Larger lenses have to come off to fit well in the center console.

• Depending on the lens you pair with the D780, and how you store it, you may be able to fit the D780 as well as a flash and battery. This case has dimensions in inches of (L x W x H): 12.0 x 6.5 x 8.5.
