Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this vertical grip comes with the grip itself, a AA battery tray and the tray for the small D500 battery (EN-EL15). Though I don't use EITHER of those batteries in the grip... Lesser known fact: You can purchase the BL-5 door for a little extra (about $30) and it will let you then use the EN-EL18 series professional batteries (same ones the D5 uses). I did this for my D500 and the pro batteries have significantly greater battery life. Two batteries will last me all week of shooting still images and last longer for video also. The extra battery life is highly useful -- and the extra power helps keep autofocus running better (especially when you're running large telephoto lenses with AF motors -- like my 400 2.8 AFs G). If you're using this camera for sports or wildlife or any other type of action with big lenses, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting the optional BL-5 door and upgrading to the pro EN-EL18 series batteries.
