“Will holding the shutter release button down on this remote work in bulb mode like it works holding the shutter release button down on the d3400 in BULB mode? I ask so that I can control the time in bulb mode without shaking the camera by using its button”

I too use the bulb function a lot, and it's a single press for opening the shutter. then a second press to end the shutter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, however, the images will be taken in "Time" mode even though "Bulb" is selected for shutter speed. You can also use a tripod to stabilize the camera so pressing the shutter button doesn't cause as much shake.
