• Yes, it does. Plus it has its own filter. No need to buy filters anymore. Though I still use filters with it just to make it easier to clean the reusable filter.

• As with most all units, yes it does. However it is bpa free if I'm not mistaken.

• Well the filter is made of plastic and a wire mesh strainer so I would have to say yes.
