• From what I can tell, the thermal carafe systems don't have a warming plate and just relies on the metal carafe to keep the coffee hot. We chose the one with the glass carafe and warming plate. I don't regret it.

• From my understanding, the unit with the Thermal Carafe does not have a warming plate on the machine since Ninja states that the insulated thermal carafe will keep the coffee hot for 2 hours so it's not needed
