“Does this machine produce espresso? I know this unit does not have the ability to froth milk, but can it make espresso? Or is it just strong coffee for "specialty drinks?"”

• This unit comes with a glass Frother and it is easy to use, even frothing with skim milk! I have used it making Cappuccino-style coffee.

• Just strong coffee for specialty drinks. It doesn't have the ability to froth milk but it does have a self frother that is really easy to use.

• I would say that it would easily make espresso. This unit also comes with a glass container with a devise for frothing. I would suggest going to YouTube and watching their introductory video about the Ninja. It is an amazing machine and makes the best coffee we have been able to make at home for thirty seven years. It will make many speciality coffees and even comes with a cookbook!

• I wouldn't say it's perfect espresso but to me its better than some restaurants I've been to. :) It's a little bit of a give-and-take because you do have other features so rather than having 3 machines espresso maker, a coffee maker and single serve machine you have all those things in one.

• yes it does but not under high pressure. You have to use the specialty coffee setting

• The Ninja Coffee Bar does come with its own frother. You can make whatever coffee drink that you can imagine.

• The unit I bought at Best Buy included a milk frother. You should be able to buy one from their (Ninja, not Best Buy) website. So, yes, you can make espresso.
