You can cook instant brown rice or some types of white rice in this cooker. None of the ninjatestkitchen.com chefs have come up with a recipe that successfully cooks whole grain rices since I last checked (Nov '23). So I still have my little Zest rice cooker to prepare my grains.

You can cook rice, and spaghetti in the sauce. Place them in the bottom pan. You will get a recipe booklet with the unit with instructions. It is a great help. I have even baked two cakes at once in meatloaf pans. The moisture really added to the cakes. They were delicious!
