• On the Coffee Machine, the hinged hood on top is used to access the brew basket when brewing with ground coffee. You lift and slide it forward to add your coffee grounds, then close it fully before starting the brew. This ensures proper brewing pressure and keeps the area clean. For pod brewing, a separate Ninja Pod Adapter is used instead. Full instructions are available in the owner's guide on the Ninja website.

• The hinged door is for k-cups if you only want to brew a single cup of coffee. It is a removable insert that you can take out if you want to make a full pot.
