The Intelligent Warming Plate on models with a glass carafe can be adjusted to stay on for up to 4 hours, with a default setting of 2 hours. This helps keep coffee warm for an extended period. In contrast, models with a thermal carafe do not include a warming plate. Instead, the thermal carafe uses double-walled insulation to retain heat. Since the insulation blocks external heat, a warming plate wouldn’t affect the coffee’s temperature inside the carafe.
