Kinda sorta. If you buy an espresso roast coffee or k-cup, it will come extremely close to a legit, tightly-packed, pressure-pumped espresso if you use the Specialty setting. If you're a purist, just know that this doesn't build up the pressure as a dedicated espresso machine does so you may be disappointed. I can't tell the difference if using a k-cup, but a connoisseur maybe can. Using grounds is a bit more obvious since it's only a gravity-fed drip that's being used to make the coffee.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It makes specialty brews I am pretty sure espresso is in that category I just drink regular coffee makes the best cuppa coffee I ever had you can set it to classic or Rich you can set it to specialty brews you can set it to over ice which makes a very strong cup because it’s using the same amount of coffee for a regular cup to make just a little bit of coffee to go over iced drinks I would think that is espresso that is going over the ice I hope this helps I really like I said just drink regular coffee
