“Does the exterior become too to touch? How much heat does the machine put out, on the exterior of the unit?”

The top and sides get very hot. Too hot to touch for more than briefly but not so hot that you would get a physical burn before your reflexes kick in. There is a cool down fan that continues running for quite a long time after cooking. After a 10 minute cook at 425 the cool down fan ran for a half hour.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The vents put out pretty warm air, I wouldn't recommend touching them especially for children. The glass door gets very hot I wouldn't recommend anyone touching it, that also depends on what you are cooking and for how long.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It will definitely get warm but not as hot as my previous convection toaster oven. I wouldn't leave anything sitting on top that can not take some heat. I have touched the sides briefly just to see and it was warm but not burning.
