The power cord is to short. what options are there? null

Power cord is approximately 2 feet long. That will get you to a plug in a overhead cabinet no problem or a wall plug within that distance. If you must have a distance longer than that then your options are to use an extension cord (not personally recommend) or have a outlet put in closer to where you want the appliance to be.
