“I have this oven & like the way it cooks. However it gets really hot during cooking, on top & sides. Also, I used the sear pan to cook hamburgers & sprayed with canola oil before cooking & now it has a slight sticky feel. Is this normal?”

Oh yeah, I bought a wood cutting board made specifically for this oven to disperse the heat better (I will probably not flip up often). I can put stuff on the board regardless of cooking. I had Christmas decorations on it. Hope that's a solution for you
