Yes, you can cook a chuck roast using the Roast function. The DG551’s Smoke Control System helps reduce smoke, but it doesn’t eliminate it completely some smoke is normal, so good ventilation is recommended.

Since I don't clean the round grease filter after each use like it suggests, the time I did have a little build up and forgot the exhaust fan, it set off the Smoke Alarm! lol

Especially if we have not cleaned the upper round metal grease filter! The time we forgot it set off the Smoke Alarm and scared me!!! hahahaa
