Yes to both your questions. I use the removable filter and haven’t had any issues with grounds seeping through.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The reusable filter is easy to clean but I prefer and use the paper filters more often than not and never had an issue with leakage. If you use the reusable filter and the grind of the coffee is very fine you will get some leakage in the form of coffee sediment that might collect at the bottom of the carafe.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, the filter is easy to clean. Yes, depending on how fine the ground of coffee is, you can get some getting through. I use paper filter either way because I feel as the hot water passes through the coffee, the paper filter will help slow down the seepage of the brew making a more robust pot of coffee, which I really enjoy. Added benefit to having a paper filter is it becomes easier to dispose of the used grounds.
