• It can definitely boil (I already made soups), but I haven't tried boiling water only. I already made smoothies. This is a great versatile unit.

• check out the book "ninja Foodi cold & Hot Blender Cookbook for Beginners...." Kenzi Swanhart I have itand am still learning more about smoothies not sure about smoothie bowls but it will have that in there and also youtube to see more on there like these things.. I recommend for smoothies/ soups "The Salted Pepper".
