“I purchased this coffee maker a week ago and while it is brewing it has steam coming out of the top vents— a fair amount and makes pretty pretty much noise with gurgling sounds that is annoying! Is this normal?”

The steam and gurgling is pretty much normal with this and other coffee makers. Sit a cup on top of the lid to warm it during brewing time before pouring your favorite brew and enjoying it.
