Do you need to do a burnoff before first cook? null

Hi there, No burnoff is required before your first cook. However, we recommend washing all removable parts (like the grill grate and crisper basket) with warm, soapy water and drying them thoroughly. Happy grilling!

FYI, the manual specificcally says the only part of this that is dishwasher safe is the pellet filler cup. NO other parts are dishwasher safe.

NO. Just wash the grill portion (easily removable) with a mild soap and hot water. Check the manual but I think it is also dishwasher safe.
