Yes you can use it on your patio. it just needs to be ventilated which you say it is.

I would keep the back of the grill away from the screen as that is where the grill vents. It will not burn the ceiling that high. The pellets are not used to heat but to smoke. This device though produces a lot of smoke, especially on startup. I have to keep doors and windows closed when I use the Woodfire feature. The decision to use in your space is the smoke and what potential damage the smoke can do (i.e. smell, soot, tar, etc). I recommend watching some videos of the grill to make the best decision.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t think I’d use the smoke setting but I’m pretty sure the rest of the setting you can use. I really like the grill. Perfect for two to four people. I use the crisp setting for steaks too. Especially with a fan.
