• Yes they do work on the nintendo Switch, they are not compatible with every game so make sure you check your individual game if they have amiibo support. Scan on the right joycon or Switch pro Controller.

• Yes, absolutely! I have been using mine that I purchased years ago in ACNH. I've brought quite a few villagers to my island that way. Invite one 3 times through resident services kiosk,craft the "souvenirs" they ask for, and keep talking to them. Obviously, the special characters don't work, as they are already in the game.
