Your question is a little confusing with how you worded it. If you’re asking if it’ll charge a Joy-con that won’t charge when attached to the Switch, I would say probably not as it charges the Joy-cons using the same method as if it was docked to the Switch. Now if you’re looking for a way to charge Joy-cons without them being attached to the Switch, this will work for that, but it would be expensive since it uses AA batteries to do so. I guess rechargeable batteries would work, but that seems redundant to me.
