Mainly because it turns over their inventory quickly, and means they don't have to worry about putting in effort to sell the product, along with scalpers simply post it on a certain auction site. That claims to not support scalping, yet does nothing about it cause its making them a ton of money, which is sickening to say the least, and so the vicious cycle will continue. Until consumers either boycott companies enough to where it puts a dent in their wallet and makes them change their sites. With the latter being just simply joining in the chorus of bots to have a decent chance of buying the item as they don't seem to care enough to stop it in any form or fashion.
