• For Switch titles you can play offline. You will need an online membership for the classics collections: snes, game boy, etc.

• Your question is slightly vague, so I will be as detailed as possible. This is the "Expansion Pack" edition for the Nintendo Switch Online subscription. This includes both the base subscription (Online gameplay, Cloud Saves, NES Games, SNES Games, and Gameboy/ Gameboy Color Games) alongside the additional catalog of other legacy games (Nintendo 64 games, Gameboy Advance games, Sega Genesis games) alongside included DLC for other specific games (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing New Horizons, and Splatoon 2). The various games from older systems this comes with do need you to be connected to the internet when booting them up for the first time. You will need to do this for each of the various applications that you download on the eShop. From there, you do not need to connect to the internet or have a constant connection as long as you connect your system to the internet at least once every 7 days.
