• The GB40 can be charged from any USB source, like your cell phone's USB wall charger, a computer or laptop USB port, or a 12V USB adapter for charging from a vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter-style port. We recommend charging the unit fully before first use. To use the unit, connect the clamps to the battery's positive and negative terminals. Turn the unit on, the charge LEDs should illuminate in a cycle, you can then start the vehicle. In the event that the LEDs do not cycle, this indicates the GB40 cannot detect the battery, which happens if the battery is depleted below 2V. In this case, you can use the Manual Override feature by pressing and holding the "!" button for 3-5 seconds. Use Manual Override cautiously as it also turns off the reverse polarity protection and spark protection.
