QuestionCan this cell phone be purchased just as a back-up, emergency phone? Just to have a spare in case your original is lost or stolen? Also, can a pre-paid phone card be used instead of an ongoing monthly carrier? If so, how do I get a phone number?

- Answer Hi there! Thanks for your interest. Sure, this device could very well serve as a back-up/emergency phone as it performs the basic functions of calling and texting, and then some ;) It can most definitely be used with a pre-paid service, all you have to do is purchase the device and take it to the carrier/purchase a SIM to get connected. QuestionI've looked and looked...cannot find how to turn on speakerphone during a ph call...the volumn is set to max and can hardly hear when phone is to my ear...I know the phone has one, cuz game apps play sounds

- Answer This device may or may not work on Boost Mobile. Boost was sold to Dish Network this year. Dish is now using the T Mobile network. If Boost is now on the T Mobile network, it will work on Boost. Check with Boost for clarification.
