Miles resume but speed returns to lowest number and must be manually bumped up to where you were at before stepping off the treadmill momentarily. I don't know if this is just happening to my machine. I know it's probably not safest way, but I find myself not stopping the treadmill and just hopping off when I need to step off for just a minute or two.
