• According to their FAQ on their website, all their Ninja blenders are BPA Free. Look under the "What are the containers made of" question under "General Information" http://www.ninjakitchen.com/nutri-ninja/bl450-faqs/

• Yes, this product is BPA free. The Ninja works by pressing down and holding the cup to start and letting go of the cup to stop.
