Is the base Stainless Steel or Plastic? null

It says stainless steel, but I have not tested it yet to see if I can stain it.

The base is a combination of STAINLESS &Plastic. The base itself is heavy, so it stays in one place and is very sturdy! The Blender mixes in less than 30 seconds, what Used to take two minutes in the old tall blenders. I love it!
