• If the lid isn't on properly (if the threads are off-kilter) the machine won't work.

• Hello gorillagirl, This great blender uses a manual pulse to blend. After you fill the cup with your desired ingredients, screw on the Nutri Ninja® Pro Extractor Blades® Assembly, and then insert the cup into the motor base. Once the cup is in, turn it clockwise to lock it in place. Once it is locked in place, press down on the cup to pulse. We do not recommend holding the cup down, as short pulses provide the best results. We hope this information helps. The Customer Support Team
