Hi there, yes you should be able to use the card. What will limit the throughput of the card is the speed of your PCI express slot. Look into this, it should be PCI 2.0 or higher. It will work regardless but you will not get the card's potential if your PCI slot is not at least 2.0 Don't worry too much about the different memory being used in each card. The difference is that the newer memory is faster, that's all.
