• With the recent purchase of a gaming desktop, it's very likely that the motherboard will support the card. For full performance from the card, it needs PCI-e 3 support, for the 16 lanes of PCIe access. If the motherboard does not have PCI-e 3, the board will probably perform at a lower level. Also, you may want to make sure that your power supply has the capacity for the video card.
