I went from a 460w to a 650w. The minimum is 550 I believe. But unless it is a gold standard PSU you may drop below minimum. I bought it for $70 and had the geek squad install it so I wouldnt void my warranty.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Nvidia site clearly states that a 550W supply is the minimum requirement. An 8700k is a very power efficient CPU, so assuming you don't have a lot of other high power consuming devices in your rig - like a huge bank of traditional power hungry hard drives and other PCI cards - and your power supply is of a good quality, I wouldn't worry. You've met the 'typical' minimum spec defined by Nvidia. Battlefield V running in Ultra RTX mode barely pushes my 'loaded' system above 300 watts with this card.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well it is listed to work with a 550 but I would suggest if you can to get at least a 750w power supply to leave you more headroom up additional parts
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Should be good, but I upgraded to a 650w psu 80 gold rated just to be safe. You have a pretty powerful cpu, and the 2070 sucks up a bit of power on its on it too when used at maxed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Should be fine with good quality power supply. Im running the i7 8700k at 4.8ghz and 2070.
