New eggs shipping is also the day of release, best buys isnt until oct,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm a realist, I believe that Nvidia did not yet sell out of the 2080ti. They just simply turned it off so that people start buying the 2080 non ti. Notice how they are starting to advertise the 2080 fps vs 1080 fps, where are the 2080ti performance numbers? Oh don't need to post them, we sold more than we expected to. I pre ordered through BestBuy and I'm happy with the ship date of 8 Oct so I can check out reviews before it even gets into my PC.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NVIDIA also sells these cards directly, they sold out their planned inventory of 2080 Ti within approximately 30 hours, as pre-orders. Everything depends on how many units each retailer gets allocated to them and how far in advance they decide to sell out their allocation. Noone ships them yet. All vendors will start shipping the Ti in early October; NVIDIA might start shipping earlier, if they chose so. BestBuy is one of their preferred retailers. Right now, at the time of this writing, the 2080 Ti is sold out everywhere, probably through the end of the year. They hype is huge, but Initial reports, so far very scarce, suggest that 2080 Ti is only about 20% faster than 1080 Ti, unless the software which it is used with is written to support Ray Tracing Technology. Ray Tracing requires extensive software development to utilize card's capabilities, it is not something that starts working on its own. It will take a long while until support of RT becomes mainstream. NVIDAI's claim of 6X faster performance is based on demo developed with Ray Tracing. It is representative of card's potential capabilities, but has nothing to do with currently available real world applications. If you missed the pre-order window, you did not lose too much, just an incremental performance improvement. We will see real performance gains only when software developers catch up, which may easily take a year or more. Just a handful of games, about 5 or 6, will be released with RT capabilities in this quarter.
