Unfortunately, it is more common for the 6700 xt and the 3090 to last slightly longer because the demand for these products aren't as high as demand for 3080 chips and the amd equivalent. Usually those who are looking for the 6700xt or the 3090 can afford to bite the bullet and pay more or simply wait for more supply to be released as they know the demand for these more expensive chips are not as high as the 3080. I would say the situation has not changed. Be on the look out for in person releases, which are usually anounced, you nay have to wait in line over night, but i was able to get both a 3080 and a 3080 ti by doing this
