They *will* come back out, but expect no forewarning announcement whatsoever. There is no definitive answer from BestBuy on this, and their reason is understandable, but frustrating. Restocks are the best-kept secret of this card. Giving no lead warning is policy for BestBuy, as a mechanism for detecting and subsequently at-least-trying-before-failing to eliminate bots. If the scalpers running bot armies know no more than you do, they are forced to perpetually hammer the site to detect stock change 24/7, and in so doing become more "visible" for BestBuys anti-botting detection and supposed blacklisting. Honestly, however, it doesn't do much good at all. This site, and specifically this page, are assaulted non-stop by bots disguising and/or masquerading IP info, etc. When they do come back in stock the bots cart them all within seconds, even with BestBuys "Second phase" authentication. That said, for what it is worth, I've watched in earnest since launch, and have worn out the label of my F5 key. BestBuy *appears* to restock every 1.5 to 2.5 weeks. The latest restock came in 1-week + 5-days after the prior. There is no specific day (Friday seems to be the most common, but I've seen Wednesday twice, and even a Monday), nor specific time (I've seen 6:00AM PST, 8:00AM PST, and 2:00PM PST). At the time of this answer being authored the last restock was 2020-12-02, a Wednesday, at 8:00am PST, and they were literally gone in seconds (less than ten). I managed to get to "second phase" authentication before the page hung indefinitely and eventually timed out, several times. It took another 25 minutes before the site finally hung out the DND sign, and proceeded to flip back and forth between "Coming Soon" and "Sold Out" a half dozen times during the subsequent two hours before finally settling on what you see now (Sold Out). The prior restock happened on 2020-11-20, a Friday, at 6:00am PST, and was also wiped out in seconds, with a similar experience on my part. There is no notify system; there is no wait-list. If you want it you have to be on the site, and have loaded the page to see the restock within seconds of it going live, or you're going to miss it (and, as I described earlier, even then, you'll likely still miss it). It is battle-royale, every man/woman/child/bot for themselves (one of those clearly having a distinct advantage).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Got mine yesterday (1/6/2021), so happy. Have been trying to get this since launch. BestBuy has put a lot of wait on the page. When you click on the "Buy" button it told me to wait because the product was getting a lot of requests. Then it instructed me to go to the cart and wait on that page. Eventually the card appeared. I went to pay and it requested to do authentication through e-mail (where they send you a code) and once that was done it allowed me to pay. Got confirmation e-mail and it says it will deliver to my store in 11 days.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.3080 and 3070 dropped on July 29, 2021 around noon. I caught the update by chance on my phone. As I frantically trying to add to the cart, the button changed to "Adding more inventory." I was refreshing for 3 minutes and "Add to cart" appeared again. This time I was able to add the card to the cart within a second or so. There was no option for the delivery, only for in-store pick up. Then BestBuy asked me to verify my password even though I bought an item through the app earlier that day, and then sent me another email verification. By the time I was done entering the info, when trying to check out, I got "item not available within 250 miles." So adding the item to the cart does nothing unless you go through the checkout process faster than the bots. Disappointing, to say the least as it's clear that bots get everything within seconds despite what Bestbuy is doing. Verification process is useless, it's just prevents normal people from buying. I was refreshing for the next 10 minutes and "Adding more inventory" eventually just changed to "Sold out." Given the current process, the only option for normal people to get the card is to stand in line for an in-store event starting around 4AM.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The card will "come out". When this happens, bestbuy's automated inventory system will update the numbers in the database, which will proliferate through to the html content we all view here. Then approximately 15 seconds later. About 2000 auto bots, running cron jobs to view the html every few seconds, most likely from falsified, randomized ip addresses (to hide their botness), will have verified that there is indeed stock. Once the auto bot verifies the stock, it proceeds to launch multiple process threads, each one completing the checkout process automatically, and much faster than a human being can. Literally, within minutes of the cards coming out. Usually before one could even check a notification from twitter or discord. The cards are sold out on Bestbuy, and mysteriously appear on ebay, stockx etc. Somehow the process of ordering and reposting an item, constitutes a 300% markup. This is the 2020's. And no one, that can actually move the needle to fix this (Corporate policy makers at big businesses), gives a dinosaur's Krusty Krab cake about it. It looks like more of a win, if they sell out in 2 minutes, versus, you know, 2 weeks, which is what would happen anyway. (probly more like 2 days, but you know what I mean) Actual consumers, which would buy other computer components from bestbuy, (if they only had a gpu), would have a chance to buy their products. Alas, the bigger picture is often dictated by men/women with much smaller viewpoints.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Today me and my wife stood outside one of the restocked best buys in our area. I gotta say, I feel for everyone who’s been struggling to get one. We were LITERALLY next in line to get a voucher when they said they had run out… we had to go back home empty handed after standing in line for 5hrs. There were around 176 people in front of us. Can’t believe they had less than 200 units (Any model: 3080’s, 70’s, 60’s etc) given the demand. Pretty frustrating
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When the 4080 comes out ;-)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For me they restock every Wednesday in the morning but you have to be quick
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well, you were wrong. I sat in front of my computer nearly all day and kept refreshing the page. Not once did that dull gray button become yellow.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They are dropping tomorrow (Tuesday) at noon. Mark my word.
