Yes,. but check the Nvidia Shield forums for more details. Basically, it's a nightmare.

It is supposed to but the implementation is very poor. Nvidia promises to fix it. I personally have never tried it. I use 4k blurays and don't bother with subpar 4k or Atmos from Netflix or Disney.
