Would I be able to play games like Arma 3 or Day z on it null

You can only play a limited number of games available , chances are you will NOT be able to.

For those specific games, I don't think there's a port over to Android yet. Although, you can stream those games from your PC on your local network. It is also possible to connect and blue tooth mouse and keyboard and game that way on the shield, as well.
