Android, no computer required. Hulu, Netflix, Amazon require a subscription. Bigscreen, Pluto, and others do not require a fee. 
No security features.

It run off Android 4.4 Dragonsnap if I remember off the top of my head. I haven't seen no fees for running off Live stream. It depends on what app you are using and if you have an account with that app. Not much security features, it like using a phone on your face, you can download a VPN and other security apps, but it doesn't come with any.

It has it's own Operating System and there is no Fee Rate to Live Stream or Record videos. You just need a computer and a USB-C Cable to transfer any video's you've recorded to your computer for uploading.
