• The Rift requires a VR capable pc (these are usually very expensive, an average computer is not usually capable of this) and is also wired. The Quest is a stand alone device. It does not require a high tech computer and is completely wireless. It is an entire console on its own.

• The quest is standalone (you don't need anything else to play) whereas the Rift requires a VR capable pc in order to play.

• The rift you need a gaming computer and you will need to be plugged in to play. The quest is stand alone. Everything if in the headset.
