Go to Oculus's website and download their PC compatibility checker. It will tell you what part of your system isn't compatible, i.e. what you need to upgrade in order to use the Oculus.

Here are the minimum specs: Nvidia 960 or greater (down from Nvidia GTX 970 / AMD 290 equivalent or greater) Intel i3-6100 / AMD FX4350 or greater (down from Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater) 8GB+ RAM (same) Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output (same)

Oculus Rift minimum specifications are: Nvidia 960 or greater (down from Nvidia GTX 970 / AMD 290 equivalent or greater) Intel i3-6100 / AMD FX4350 or greater (down from Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater) 8GB+ RAM (same) Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output (same) While these are the mimimum specificiations, many newer games are pushing the system so you won't be able to play all the games or will need to scale down the graphics if you don't have an i7 with Nvidia GTX 970 or equivalent.
