In this box, it comes with the headset, 2 monitors, 2 controllers (one for each hand. Picture a wii remote, but with xbox buttons) and the headset. An cbox controller is not required to use this product.

You also will be able to download free games like Robo Recall (one of the best games in VR period), Dead and Buried - a fun game for all ages, and a couple of art based apps. There are also a bunch of free games and experiences like Rec Room (highly recommend) and Google Earth to name a couple. Because they released the touch controllers (the best VR controllers on the market at this time), you don't need an XBOX controller for any of the games I've played thus far - but it does not come with an Xbox controller anymore. Make sure your computer has the proper specs and USB requirements to run the Rift. I hope you can get it and enjoy it!

You do not need an xbox one controller to use the oculus headset, some games you may use the headset with the controller but for the most part you’ll be using the two oculus controller included.
